Naked man brutally beats delivery driver to death with firewood after 'trespassing'

The 51-year old ''doting'' grandfather was attempting to deliver fire-wood to homeowners ahead of a cold weather in Dallas, Texas before he was beaten to death by an out-of-control assailant

A 51-year-old Texas delivery driver was beaten to death by a hostile, naked man with firewood accusing the worker of trespassing.

The police later identified the assailant as 27-year-old Chrisantus Omondi, who brutally attacked and killed Scott Jackson, a “doting grandfather” who was delivering a round of firewood ahead of a cold snap.

An eyewitness, the man receiving the delivery, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area who does not wish to be identified, told WFAA : “As we were loading up the wheelbarrow, this random guy shows up and gets directly in my face and confronts me and accuses me of being on his property, being in his house, and he never wants to see us again.”

The homeowner said: "This naked man is three inches from my face, holding a key up to me yelling at me that I was on his property.” The anonymous eyewitness told Fox4 that Scott said: “No, this is his property and his house. Just let us unload firewood because it’s cold outside.”

The homeowner, who didn’t want his name used or his face shown, told FOX 4 more about the attack which he thought would cost him his life he said: "[I] Fully believe with my whole heart that he was out to murder both of us.''

Omondi’s arrest warrant stated that the pair asked the attacker to leave so they could get out of the cold, before Odmoni hit Scott and turned on the witness. The anonymous witness that he escaped and called 911 but added: "When he was pursuing me and attacking me, I was looking at death in the face.”

Police documents confirmed that officers noted other witnesses corroborated the homeowner's account and their accounts were backed up by video surveillance.

According to official documents, Omondi then ran to an Airbnb where he was renting a room and turned on a tenant there. She later told police she was trying to do laundry and escaped to her room which Odmoni tried to force his way into. Police arrived and said they used a Taser on him after he refused to follow their commands.

She claimed Odmoni yelled at her saying, "I'll beat your a**. I'm going to f*** you up." Omondi, who is facing a murder charge, is in jail on $300,000 bond.

WFAA reported that Scott "was also a doting grandfather and the kind of dad who danced to make his daughter blush”

Scott’s daughter, Kasey DeLeon spoke of her father and grieved not being able to see him a final time. She said: "I'd be like, 'Dad, you're so embarrassing,' and I wish I could just tell him that so bad. Just embarrass me one more time. Annoy me one more time. Just bug me.”
